Cross catalog search for SRM 7.0

Hi,

We are trying to configue the system for cross catalog search. But we are missing the service default_host/sap/bc/bsp/ccm/srm_cse

Should we add that one or is it not included in SRM 7.0?

Does anyone have any experience in this?

Symptom

1. User tries to create professional Shopping cart. Clicks on "Add Items", selects "Cross Catalog Search" from the drop down menu. The search automatically gets started without any search criteria.

2. User enters some search criteria e.g. "Box" and clicks on "Search". The items get displayed with Summary. In the summary the name of the catalog gets truncated after 30 characters.

3. User selects some item clicks on OK. The items get added to the SC. Now user launched the cross catalog search popup again. The search automatically gets started with the previous search criteria he entered e.g. "Box".

Note 1589093 - SC not working properly with Catalog cross search

Symptom

When you add the item through cross catalog search during shopping cart creation, system will not allow any navigation after adding the item

and incase of any error and also clear the added item if press any button.

Hi,

Then it seems all config is done.

We are getting the "no results found" when searching.

Opening up for more information we can read the following error message:

"ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED".

I solved the problem by changing the Service Number in the Communication Channel to the ICM Port number in the receiving system. Anyway, I really don't think they should call it Service Number, it is very misleading. 😛 thanks for your replies, though.

Which catalog do you use? CCM or SRM-MDM Catalog?

Hi,

The service default_host/sap/bc/bsp/ccm/srm_cse is for CCM.

It does not required for SRM-MDM Catalog. You just need to set cross-catalog search flag in Catalog ID definition customizing.

Hi,

Masa is correct. You just need to check the flag "Cross Catalog Search" under Additional Functions in the Product Catalog in External Web Service definition.

If you are using SRM 7.0, you will get the "Find" box on Shop screen which you can use for Cross Catalog Search. This "Find" box will only appear if you have two catalogs assigned in your attributes having "Cross Catalog Search" flag checked.
