Our SAP BW 3.5 is running on

- Development Environment - (MS SQL server 64-bit; virtualised)

- Production Environment - (MS SQL server 32-bit)

Is it possible to do DB refresh of Development systen from Production with the above-mentioned environment differences ??

A copy from 32bit to 64bit is possible:

Note 666805 - MS SQL Server: Migrating from 32-bit to 64-bit

I am not sure if i am using the correct phrases/terminology. what i mean is copying the system data structures like the infocubes, ODS's etc.

You talked about a "refresh" which I understand as a system copy.

If you mean "transports" then yes, also that is possible.

I'm still not sure whether you're talking about a system copy (= refresh) or whether you mean "transports". Both cases work.

Am talking about a system copy. As for transports, we did one recently and it went through successfully.

According to the note you can do that kind of copy, yes.
