Hi All,
When i tried to navigate to the page http://hostname:5<no>00/smd using the user id smd_admin i cannot see the tabs diagnostics administration and root cause anaylsis.
How can we launch the same from solman_workcenter.
SAP_SMWORK* roles have been added to the user. But still the problem persists.Any pointers.Thanks.
Is there a way we can get the two tabs.Thanks.

Hi..
Could you please tell which solution Manager version you are using.
Secondly you need to provide roles like SAP_SMWORK_DIAG and SAP_SMWORK_BASIC to see Root Cause Analysis as a tab in SOLMAN_WORKCENTER. If you have provided all the roled i.e. SAP_SMWORK* then it will take time to open depending upon your systems performance.
please let me know if it helps
Thanks

in SOlman_Work center we can see the root cause analysis tab.But we cannot see the same in smd.
SAP_ABA 701 0006 SAPKA70106 Cross-Application Component
SAP_BASIS 701 0006 SAPKB70106 SAP Basis Component
PI_BASIS 701 0006 SAPK-70106INPIBASIS Basis Plug-In
ST-PI 2008_1_700 0002 SAPKITLRD2 SAP Solution Tools Plug-In
In SOLMAN_WORKCENTER, you need to go to root cause analysis and then on the left hand side you will see Diagnostic Setup in Setup and Check. Just click that. a new window pops up. You will see two tabs Diagnostics systems and Managed sysems. There is nothing more than that available in the http://hostname:port/smd link.
Thanks
Aditya
