Upgrade NW 7.01 to 7.02 Java only, can't start...

Hi Experts,

I'm going to upgrade Portal from Netweaver Ehp1 SP6 to Netweaver Ehp2 SP6 , I download all the files from Solution Manager , but to start the upgrade, I try two ways non of them works, any idea?

Below are my try on:

1- run JSPM , It shows me the last upgrade information and all Deployed...

2- I try to follow the Upgrade EHp2 documentation on , as I don't have Master Upgrade DVD, I can't find the Prepare.bat & Startgui.bat

Hi,

Currently I am also performing NW Ehp2 upgrade for ABAP 701.

You need to start the upgrade using EHPi tool.

Download the EHPI SAR file from (swdc -> additional components.)

EHPi SAR file (tool) is same for ABAP / JAVA.

download the SAR file, extract it & follow the EHPI guide.

I am also currently perfroming EHP2 upgrade.

Secondly, if its a pure JAVA system then you can use JSPM instead of EHPi tool.

just to confirm, to upgrade from NW EHP1 to EHP2, we can use either latest EHPI or SAPup?

According to the EHP2 upgrade documentation, it asks to use SAPup.. but i tot we should use SAPup for version <NW7?

Hi,

Upgrade master DVD is available on service market place why don't you download it from there and start the PREPARE. Is there any challenge in download DVD from SMP ?

Hi,

Go to http://service.sap.com/swdc --> Installation and Upgrades --> A-Z Index --> Select N --> Select SAP Netweaver --> Select SAP Netweaver EHP2 --> Upgrade --> There you will get upgrade master DVD.
