Configure managed system via Wizard

HI all,

In the solman_setup, managed system configuration via the wizard, in the first step, I am getting:

Establish connection to System servername.xxx.xxx.xxx.com(02) - SID_<client #>

Error when opening an RFC connection.

This is a new system that we are configuring diagnostics for. The connection used is TRUSTED-Destination.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Neeta

Hello Neeta,

Is it possible to provide more information?

Check the logs of the Gateway (dev_rd) files, if possible look for relevant messages for the managed system in question.

Please execute the wizard and afterwards check the file: this way you will have the issue in the latest dev_rd files,

If you prefer, please trigger a OSS message so we can check this log files throughly.

Best regards,

There were no entries at the time the wizard was run in the gateway trace file on Solution manager???

Thanks all for your replies.. the problem was that the gateway and dispatcher ports were not open on the firewall to/from the managing system and managed systems. Theports were open and I am able to proceed.
