Shopping Cart Template - quantity and price lost in PO

Former Member

Hi,

We use a Shopping Cart Personal Template in a Purchase Order.

All the itens and quantities passes to Purchase Order correctly. We

save the PO.

If we try to use the same SC Personal Template in another Purchase

Order, the fields "Quantity" and "Price" does not pass to the PO. This

should be any error, as a SC Personal Template is supposed to be used

more than once.

What can we do to solve this bug?

Thanks and regards,

Maria

From what I understand, you can't add SC template item to your PO, but real SC items that are approved. If this is what you were referring to, i.e. adding actual SC items to the PO, it is reasonable not to be able to add (purchase) more than the required SC item quantity. So if you have added the full quantity of an SC item to one PO, you shouldn't be able to add more quantity of the same item to another PO. The effect and business process are similar to going through "Carry Out Sourcing".

hi,

but in this case, the SC is a template. A personal template. So if it is not even approved, why does it is treated like a normal SC?

We use a Shopping Cart Personal Template in a Purchase Order.

How did you create such PO with SC Personal Template? During PO creation, did you go through "Add Item" >> "Old Shopping Cart" popup window?

Exactly.

Then in the popup window, isn't status dropdown list on the right bottom corner "Approved" only and you can't change it? Template doesn't have "approved" status so they should not appear in the selection result list. Has your experience been different?

We can change the status we want to see. The template is not approved, but the Personal Templetes also appears.
