Error at the time of database backup

Dear Experts ,

We are on ecc 6.0 windows maxdb 7.6 version .My quality got log full I am trying to reduce by taking backup of logfile but iam getting an error "-24988 SQl error {backup_save"SNQ_LOG2" LOg Recovery]; error in online user mode.

Even if i start autosave its throwuing error -24755 no session of type 'user'available[autosave_sho];

Both i tried in online (full ) mode ..

If i change from online to admin is this may help??

Log full situation means your MaxDB is anyway not available which makes SAP also unavailable (unless this is being used as Livecache in SCM environment) - i would suggest that you take down SAP first and then take the database to 'Admin' mode - take a log backup but yes, if you have not taken full data backup anytime, log backup will not go through. Going forward, you can enable autolog backup mode and also you can set a threshold on when Log should get archived but you might need to use other ways to backup those archived logs to backup media (tape etc.)

To do a log backup you have to first execute a full database backup.
