Single Alert Implementation for all errors-Rules to implement in RWB

Former Member

Hi,

I have implemented an Alert which triggers an e-mail to particular recipient upon error in MONI. This alert is implemented to trigger e-mail for all types of errors that appear in SXMB_MONI.

The various configurations done in RWB are:

Connected to Message -- Not Relevant

No Restrictions

Error Category -- *

Error Code -- *

Adapter Type -- *

All the other information(Sender and Receiver Service, Sender and Receiver Interface, Sender and Receiver Namespace) is given.

What changes need to be implemented in the rules so that alert triggers e-mail for all types of errors?

Kindly suggest.

Thanks,

Pooja

Hi Pooja,

Alerts configuration.

Ref : http://saptechnical .com/Tutorials/XI/AlertConfiguration/AC1.htm

First you need to define the Alert classfication in ALRTCATDEF transaction and so on follow the above document.

If you give as * for the parameters then all the alerts will be triggered to the recipients for all the alerts in MONI and in Adapter engine.

Hi,

I have defined the Alert Classification in the transaction. It's reflected in the Alert config in RWB also.

Though my parameters are *, alert is triggerred for only Mapping errors.

Is there any particular step/rule to handle this kind of condition?

Thanks,

Pooja

Check this: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--troubleshooting-guide

or

1. Run the program in SE38 - RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES

2 check SAP note: 750287

To catch all errors in moni, which means integration engine errors using a single rule: the rule should be defined with following values:

Connected to message: Not Relevant

all other conditions incluidng sender and receiver details should be *

And the error place should be selected as Integration Engine and not Adapter Engine. Error Type and Error Category should be *.

This should suffice your requirement.
