BADIs in SRM

Hi All

Can anybody please tell me the concept of BADIs? How do i make use of them in my project? any doc on BADI would be apprecatied.

Hi Rahsmi

Badi are free space available along with each object like SC etc where programmer can add their code and validate much of the validations.

SE18 - BADI Defination

SE19 - BADI Implementation

SE18 we have list of all BADI's BBP* and also few BADI s are having examples say BBP_WFL_APPRV_BADI is having a good example. We can check such examples at SE18 Implementation -- Display

In SE19 you can create a ZBADI where you can write your own code.

Hi,

BADIs is an Business add ins ok.

It uses when u want to inhance the extra functionality.

exm - In SRM we have TWO STEP APPROVAL process, but if you want to go for steps of approval than u have to activate the respective BADIs.

Generally BADIs consiste of the following things where u need to write ur codes as per the requirements.

1) Implementataion Name,

2) Implementation Class,

3) Methods.

Hi,

You can use BADI's to add any new functionality to the std transactions.Generally that include Validations,Screen enhancements.

BADI's are one of the types of Enhancement Tools provided by SAP(others are BTE,Customer/User) EXits whcih do not require an Access Key as oppossed to User Exits whixh can alos be used for similar purposes
