Polish characters are not printing properly

Former Member

Hello All,

I'm trying to print material description from MAKT in polish language however some characters are not printing properly in script like some characters are replaced by #.

Eg: actual text in polish(DB-MAKT) - ŚRUBA,ŁEB,STOŻKOWY,M3x10

printing as, #RUBA,#EB,STO#KOWY,M3x10

The issue is with scripts.

Kindly provide us your inputs to getting this printing in polish perfectly.

Many thanks in advance!!!

Regards,

Rama

Hi Rama,

Try to print the form using the device type I2SWIN or SWINCF.

Also please check with the table TSP0A.

What is font you're using? For cyrillic characters you should use specific fonts viz., HELVCYR, COURCYR etc.

Hi Rama,

please have a look at:

By the way Polish does not use cyrillic characters, it uses Latin-2 fonts.

  1. usually means that there is a mismatch in the code page (system code page; device type code page; Language of the form ...)

Hi,

which print techniq do you use?

For backend print: Make sure, that the printer has the polish characters for your font installed.

Use the form language 'PL'.

Use a printer device where mapping is LATIN-2.

For PDF: Make sure, that for your used font the polish characters are installed in SAP (TrueType Font)

Cascading Fonts: If you use it, check ´Transaction 'I18N' (only works with front end printing) and devicetyp like 'SAPWINCF' or so for LATIN-2.
