Set Validity period to internal catalogs.

Hi All,

I am trying to assign a validity period for Internal catalog on the Supplier catalog CSV2 file. I have defined the characteristic Id

as /CCM/VALID_TO and /CCM/VALID_FROM.

I am unable to upload the supplier catalog. But if I remove this fields it allows me to upload.

I tried with COMT_VALID_FROM and COMT_VALID_TO also.

The date I defined was in YYYYMMDDhhmmss.I tried with different formats of date like DDMMYY,yyyymmdd, ddmmyyyy.

Please suggest how to assign the validity period to the catalogs.

Thanks,

Devi

Hello Devi,

Have you find a solution? Please try this.

DataType;DATE;DATE;Date Characteristic;VALID_FROM;DATE;false;VALID_FROM

Characteristic;VALID_TO;DATE;false;VALID_TO

Value format must be ISO format YYYY-MM-DD.

System does not check the validity date. You have to implement the BADI.

Thanks Masayuki for the reply,

I have populated the procurement catalog with a valid_To date by creating a new catalog Characteristic. So the valid_to date is in place.

Can you please share me the BADI which can be used to check the validity date?

The requirement is to check the validity period,If the validity period is about to expire then send notification to the Buyer before 14 days and once expired should disappear from the catalog.

Devi

Hello Devi,

Our solution is enhancing the MIN QUANTITY check BADI implementation /CCM/CSE_OCIMINQTY in Search Engine. Users can see the item but it is checked the validity date when it is transferred to SC.

Other idea was daily publish job checks validity date and deletes expired items in the BADI (/CCM/CSE_ENRICHMENT).

We selected the first solution because it was easy to develop.

There is BW report which shows going to expire contracts, if you create contract for catalog items. If no contracts, you have to develop a report in CCM.

Hi Devi,

when defining your own characteristics you shouldn't use /ccm/xxxxx, in your case just name your characteristics VALID_TO and VALID FROM.

Hi Chris,

I tried to define the characteristics to VALID_TO and VALID_FROM in the CSV2 file but still its not letting me upload the supplier catalog.

Do I need to define this user defined characteristics at any other place?

Can you tell me what Date format should I enter into this field.

Thanks,

Devi

Hi Devi,

what errors are you getting during the upload? have a look in transaction SLG1 in your CCM system and you should see a detailed error message.
