hi,

I have samll question on very basic points please clarify:

1. what is the exact meaning of business partner and contact person? where is the difference will come?

as per my understanding BP means vendor. then who is contact person? where we will define in org. structure?

2. Catalogues

for exteneal catalogue - we will do the config as: define external web services -> web services id & standard call structure.

then in integrated call structure what we will define?

for internal catalogue where will conifg?? how system will access interal catalogue.

Thanks

Hi,

You can find info in help.sap.com.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm701/helpdata/en/46/bc020f163f0e5ce10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

Both internal and external catalogs are defined in define external web services -> web services id & standard call structure.

The difference is just catalog URL and who is the owner of catalog.

Integrated call structure was used for inframe catalog UI in old release.

Regards,

Masa

Hi Viswanath,

All entities in SRM are Business Partners (Vendors, Company codes, Purch Org, Purch Grp, Plants, Employees). Contact person is the person who will be participate in an Rfx on behalf of a Vendor. So if you want to involve a vendor say IBM in bidding, then you first need to create a contact person for IBM.

In the vendor org structure (Under PPOMV_BBP) you will be able to see the contact person under a particular vendor. You can create this by logging into the portal with 'Strategic Purchaser' role and under Business Partners select the vendor for which you need to create a contact person - Create Contact person with reference to.

Your second query has been answered by Masa.
