Planned order for componenets when account assignement network.

Dear ALL,

I have created a project structure and created internal activities.

I have assigned components which need to be procured from outside & provided assignment as network.

When I am doing MRP using T-Code MD51, I could not able to get Planned order / Purchase requisition for procurement.

But when I tested similar situation using account assignment as WBS, I got purchase requisitions, after carrying out MRP.

Please let me know what settings need to be done to get Planned Order / Purchase Requisitions when account assignment is network.

Hi,

We can run MRP using MD02/MD01/MD51/MDBT. Normally in companies they do settings for MDBT, which runs MRP at background, this will considers reservations from WBS/Networks/PP/PM orders.

Regarding the issue of commitments generation, please ensure that CO team creates Statistical costelements with CE category 90 for all balancesheet G/L accounts that are assigned against valution class in "OBYC". Then refresh your information database, you can see that commitments are generated. This i have faced in one implementation and we solved this by above method.

MD51 to handle "Q" stock. Network account assignment is not a "Q" stock.

How should I proceed for MRP run, in such cases, where account assignment is network?

Also please let me know what is differenece between account assignment as WBS and Account assignment as network?

How it will affect system behaviour?

If you need to handle valuated project stock account assignment should be WBS (Q Stock). Network can not keep inventory if account assignment is network then while doing goods receipt it will get consumed.

Decide based on your business requirement whether account assignment should be WBS or network, accordingly you can make settings for procurement indicator.

If it is Q stock then go for MD51, otherwise MD02

It is observed that commitments being generated when PRs are generated directly through projects. But commitments are not generated when PR generated through MRP.

Can you please tell me why this is happening?

MRP generated PR will not have commitment cost. This is standard SAP. Search the forum for more details.

HI,

first check whether the "material requirement with account assignment to network" is considered in MD02 or not.

MD51 is only for that WBSE in particular & it might not consider its child network requirements.
