Can you please explain me . how can we use usage field in item category determination?
We have requirement based on usage field we need to determine different item category.
I know we can maintain in customer info record . apart from whare we can maintain in master data ? how to achieve this functionality through program?

Hi,
In SPRO you can Assign Item Category Usage for a combination of -
1] Sales Document Type
2] Item Category Group and
3] High level Item Category etc.
The path in SPRO is Sales and Dist --> Sales --> Sales Documents --> Sales Document Item --> Assign Item Categories.
Just below "Define Item Category Usage"
and this is hard coded in the program .
if you want you can modify the user exit MV45AFZZ.
