Problem applying note 896018 - EasyDMS Performance note

I am trying to apply the note 896018. When I try to activate the function module Z_EDMSBAPIDOC_GETLATEST2 I get an error

filtername LIKE edms_filter-filtername,

EDMS_FILTER-FILTERNAME in unknown.

Can anyone tell me where

I looked and can not see where this is ever defined.

before implementing this note please see also the important note 997847 and made sure that all the mentioned changes are implemented in your system.
