I'm a newby to SAP in a big way. I've completed half a certification for Oracle (the SQL side) and I'm really good with SQL. I understand PK's, and FKs, and all the other junk for database referential ingrety, etc. HOWEVER, I look at SAP tables and suddenly feel really stupid.
I'm an analytics consultant that is going to need to undertand the table structures, content, and meaning, behind the SAP tables. I see BSEK, BSAK, BSIG PAYR, etc. What does all this mean? Even the column headers are acronyms. Is there a definition somewhere to what all this stuff is? I have litterally millions or records to swim through and need to make sense of the acronyms.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Caviet, I'm not using any SAP software. The client has done data dumps and I'm importing the tables in to SQL Server 2008.
Thanks
Richard.
