Are you using the correct OS SAPINST.

What is the path where SAPINST is located

Are you running the installation as root user?

Also does your temp directory have enough space?

Did you unzip the files on your pc and transfered them? If yes, copy the zip file to the SUN machine and unpack overthere. Most probably your FTP client truncated some of the long filenames.

Hello Murali

Its always suggested to download the lastest INST master from market place though you have the one supplied as part of DVD.

Sometimes when you copy the contents the file may get corrupted.

Kindly download the lastest INST master and retrigger the installation it should fix the issue.

Hi Murali,

Try run: ./sapinst -version

If that command even causing a core dump, then it's better to download a new sapinst or even the whole installation master.

Thanks
