Sub: OPEN PS INTEGRATION WITH SAP PS ISSUE w.r.t SCHEDULING

We are currently using openps 4.03 version with MSP 2007 and SAP GUI 7.1.

Problem 1:

We are downloading Projects from SAP PS to MSP 2007 using OpenPS, projects are getting downloaded successfully but the dates are not corresponding to the dates in SAP PS. Also observed that two project calenders are getting created u201CRQ1_ZGu201D & u201CRQ1_ZG_365u201D w.r.t factory calander u201CZGu201D of SAP PS.

RQ1_ZG is having exceptions copied and RQ1_ZG_365 is only normal 5 days working (Saturday & Sunday are holidays). Observed that in the downloaded project we can see the two calanders where ever there is a duration RQ1_ZG_365 is assigned and where ever duration is 0 RQ1_ZG is assigned.

We have selected all the entire structure and assigned calander as RQ1_ZG and for RQ1_ZG we removed all expections copied from SAP and only added Sunday and Saturday as working days, after doing this the dates are matching with SAP PS without ammending dates in MSP.

How this manual intervention of assigning calander and adding exceptions to project in MSP can be avoided.

Prolem 2:

For the downloaded project we changed durations and first saved the project and tried to upload the Project from MSP to SAP PS, then we are facing following issue

1. For Internal activites, duration is copied correctly and dates in SAP PS corresponds to that of MSP

2. For external activities the duration suppose to act as Pld delivery time and this duration is not updating in SAP PS. We arenot able to match the scheduled dates of MSP to SAP PS, How can we achieve this kindly suggest.

3. For point 2 we have done a work arround, as below,The Control key used in SAP PS is PS02 for external activity, in the control key setting we checked the box schedule ext operation check box. And now changed the duration in MSP for external activities and same was uploaded to SAP PS and we can see that the dates matched with MSP project, But the issue is instead of upating pld delivery time field it is updating duration field in internal tab. And when we changed the Pld del time in SAP PS, system is not considering this for scheduling.

Conclusion:

1. Need solutions for downloading Projects from SAP PS to MSP with dates matching from SAP PS to MSP.

2. Need solutions for Uploading Projects from SAP PS to MSP with dates matching from SAP PS to MSP.

for problem 1 i impoterd the calander from SAP to msp and changed the working times wrt to SAP and problem got solved

for problem 2 i created a new control key with settings as external activity also for scheduling with ext operations and solved the problem

Hi,

For Problem 1, try downloading calendar from SAP to MSP. After that download the project and check.

For Problem 2, i think flexible field mapping can be used, map some text field to planned delivery time of the activity and then check.
