Hi,
We are currently running R/3 4.6 and HR 4.7 on seperate physical landscapes (Seperate hardware). The question has been asked "Can we combine these two landscapes onto a single hardware landscape"?
I am looking for your experiences in running multiple SIDs on the same physical server. (Pros/Cons/Best Practices) We are currently running Solaris 9 Oracle 9.2
Thanks Rob

You would be better off, by askin this question in the 'Application Server => General Web AS' forum.
You will need to have different instance numbers for the 2 systems.

Hi Rob,
As mentioned this depends on the resources of the hardware, you should review SAP note #21960 (Several instances/systems on one UNIX computer) for general recommendations and also that the planned combinations for each system are supported according to PAM (http://service.sap.com).

it all depends on the RAM , CPU and storage capacity.
If ur server is powerful enough then there will not be any issues. You just have to segregate the RAM between these two instances.
