Hi ,

If the file processing mode is test , the files would still be in ftp folder location , it should not be deleted.

Try to check the adapter monitoring , you get to see the error/scheduled messages there also .

Please let know , if this works ..also do provide some additional info about the channel

Hi,

Please check if the file that was sent by the third party is present in the folder or not.

If the file is present, please check the communication channel monitoring and adapter engine monitoring for any failures.

If the file is not present in the folder, the file has not been received. Hence check the transmission connectivity between your system and third party.

If the file is present and no error in the PI system, check if there is any other PI system is sharing the same file system where the folder and file are present. There are chances that the other PI system is picking up the file and processing it.

Let us know if you these options doesnt work.

Subbu

Hi,

Sender channel is FTP channel and no issues found. Third party confirms that file was sent.

In PI channel no failed message is there or queue blocked.

File processing mode is test.. will this be issue. Daily around 200 messages processed through this interface and this missing file issue is ocuring some times. please help.

Hi,

Missing data is the issue in the ECC end, is it right. We were also faced similar kind of issue. This issue is due to Incorrect Node generation in the Mapping. Please check the mapping specially the node generation i.e. check the context of the sender field while generating the receiver node field. Basically if the node doesn't get generate we will miss with the whole record from the file In your case you are missed with the PO.

Hi,

Issue is at Sender side only... because I am not getting any failed or scheduled message both in Moni and adapter engine.

Sender is FTP server .. and it works fine.. we got 2 or 3 issues of missing file in last 1 month.

connection is OK and out of 200 messages 1 or 2 are missing.. what would be the reason.

Hi,

First do ensure that the missing files are placed on Source FTP folder or not. If they are placed by Source system then try to find out the timestamp when they were kept on folder and add your channel polling interval to that time then do checks in Adapter Engine and Moni for the messages of this interface to see processed files at that time.If files are placed on source folder properly these should be picked up by the channel without any issues.

Since you are not able to find out any issues, try to access the files which are in question from Source folder to see any issues with the files like file naming standarads as per channel config and Access rights e.t.c..,

Thanks

Hi Veera,

Checked one missing data and it was sent from 3rd party on 13th and in Moni I found it on 18th.

but as the data is old data we can not find out the log in adapter engine.

There were no message failure found. and also there is message flow gap between those days.

What would be the cause.

compare once the time between FTP server ur PI application server. is there any time gap between these?

what is the poll interval time in the adapter and what is the size of messges for the missing files?
