Software CD License

Hi,

My company is plannig to sell software cd's. They want to associate each CD with a license number as well as a software version number. This software CD will be issued to a production order and the finished product will be sold to the customer.

How can I associate the CD with a license number and a software version number?

I would suggest you use serial number management to manage it.

I would be thinking of using batch management, and to create new characteristic "software CD license" and assign it to new classification "software license management" and activate batch management,but can you tell me more specific? E.g if you want to sell 10 finished goods, then you will need 10 software CD license or more or less?
