Hello.

i' have a problem when there is a deploy through NWDS to a NWDI instalaltion CE 7.11.

The problem is that DTR doesn't work . We didn't upgrade and no Sp or kernel was installed in last period.

The errors are the following trying to start the java instance:

Unable to instantiate a Build Space administrator! DTR workspaces could not be validated:

Build Space "NWD_devprv1_D" [bsID: 7, version: 8] [in-queue: on, out-queue: "on (queueing)", processing: on]

Initialisation of DTR application failed. Please refer to SAP note 774339 for more details on how to analyse the error condition.

The java instance is up and running but DTR no. I've read the note suggested but these are the log ....and i don't know the cause and how to solve it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Nicola,

Please go through the below mentioned procedure and provide me the results.

1) Open the below mentioned DTR URL

http://<host>:<port>/dtr

If the above Link is not accessible, then it will be giving some error trace.

Please provide that entire trace to me, I will analyse it.

2) DTR basically runs by the below mentioned standard service.

tcdtrenterpriseapp(sap.com)

that is contained inside DI_DTR Software Component.

3) To Check whether this services is running or not, follow the below mentioned procedure.

Goto Netweaver Administrator by opening the following URL...

http://<host>:<port>/nwa

Operations Management >> Systems >> Start & Stop >> Open Java EE Applications Tab

In the Name column serach for "tcdtrenterpriseapp"

Check the status column and find out whether it is running or stopped.

4) If the services is stopped then you will have to manually start the service with the option

On All instances and "Started" as initial State

Let me know about your findings.

Hello Nick

In the logs i see

I assume that there was an inconsistency which caused the service to

become unavailable.

"Severe error in network I/O of centralserver. Please restart DTR server

application. If the problem occurs again, please refer to SAP note

774339 for more details on how to analyse the error condition"

In this case it appears that a restart may solve the problem.

Let me know how it goes.

Hello

the answer was more simple that i supposed.

In solaris environment remained some processes in ipcs that probably locked DTR also after a restart of the instance .

If a tried a restart only the service tcdtrenterpriseapp, it went in stopping and no possibility to put the status in open again.

I closed the instance and cleaned the ipcs with the ipcrm command for sidadm and all worked properly

Thanks

Nicola
