Split Mirror Backup on MSSQL and Quiesce Database

Hi All,

I am trying to implement a backup solution for SAP system on MSSQL database. I have two questions related to the strategies:

1) In Oracle using the BRTools we can implement the split-mirror backup solution, is there a way to implement split-mirror backup solution for a SAP systems on MSSQL database?

2) How do we quiesce the SAP system on MSSQL database to get the split-mirror backup? Does Quiescing the MSSQL database for an SAP system applicable or its not applicable at all for SAP systems?

It would be really helpful if some inputs are provided on this topic.
