HOW TO INSERT DATA TO SEGMENTS IN IDOCS?

Hi all

I am new to idoc's.

I created an idoc using 4 segments.

I read that for every idoc, system will give an automatic idoc number?

How can i view that idoc number.

In my segments i placed only structure only.

How can i insert data to that segments.

If any one knows please give response.

I hope you have doen all the required steps for creating a custom idoc.

Once you are doen with that you also need a program that will fetch the required data from ECC, fill it in the IDOC format and post it.

There are loads of help and sample program available on SDN and elsewhere, you just need to search.

Hi,

How can i view that idoc number.

You can see the idoc number in the control record of the IDOC XML, check it in PI moni.

How can i insert data to that segments.

If you want to insert the data and reprocess the IDOC then go to WE19 give the IDOC number and there you can insert the data into segment and process the IDOC.

the question is not clear to me.....if you want more information, please elaborate your question.

To view the idoc number go to tx WE02 --F8 selct the idoc which u want to know the number of.

To change the or manully inout the values in the idoc sengments double click on the segment in the same tx n go to menu DATARECORD >DISPLYCHANGE to change the values and after saving go to BD87 to reprocess it ,hope i answered wht u have asked for.
