sales BOM (cs61 - usage 5)

Hi all,

The scenario is as below.

1. A sales order is created for material A.

2. A sales BOM (usage 5) is created with cs61 for the above sales order with material B as component. Both A and B are configurable materials.

3. But when I go to sales order, change mode, the BOM is not getting exploded. So I am not able to enter characteristic values.

Following settings are maintained

Material master settings - item cat 0004

Configuration profile settings

Process - sales order (SET)

BOM explosion - multilevel

Application - SD01

Per OSS Note 549341 - FAQ: BOMs in the sales order, check the following;

Question: Which settings are required to explode a bill of material in the sales order?

Answer: Two settings are required:

• The structure scope of the item category must be 'A' or 'B'.

• In the BOM, the item must be indicated as relevant for SD (item detail -> Status / long text)
