BI Admin Cockpit not working

Hi

we have installed BI ABAP and BI JAVA. (BI7.0 EHP1)

BI Admin Cock pit not working in ABAP system, i have assigned Respective roles in ABAP side.

Is there any role? special role for BI ADMIN cockpit in BI portal side. or i have to deploy any BP for BI portal.

im searching for the same, but i could'nt found any thing.

can anyone please guide me.

Hi AS,

Please look into the SAP note: 934848.

Regarding your query on role, you have to put the role: SAP_BW_BI_ADMINISTRATOR

Hi Sunny,

sorry for the late reply.

When i click "BI Administration Cockpit" button, Im getting the below error.

"BI Admin role" missing from irj/portal

Im not able to post the screen shot here sorry.

When i was check my BI portal " BI Adminstrator role" is missing, and on my search i found Business Package "BI Admin 1.0" has to be deploy in BI Java system. to get the BI Admin role reflect in BI Portal.

Windows cannot find:

'irj/portalNavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/administrator/system_admin/system_admin_role/com.sap.portal.monitoring/com.sap.pcibi.tct.BIAdmin'. Make sure typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click Search.

Thanks for your response. I would like to say that the "SAP note Note 934848 - Collective note: (FAQ) BI Administration Cockpit"

is available. If you find any difficulty I can paste the SAPNOTE content here for your help, if you want.

In that note it has been mentioned (point 7) about Business Package 'BI Administration 1.0', which you have already deployed.

Also you need to assign some roles as discussed in the same point.

For more details about the BI Administrator role, you can see it in the same link (SDN document, page 37, step 7b) I provided in earlier post:

Could you kindly check if this BI Administrator role and the System Administrator role (per SAP Note) is already provided in portal?

iIhave successfully deployed the business package "BP BI Administration 1.0" in BI portal and after that im able to see BI Administrator role and the same has been assigned.

I went to BI ABAP and executed RSOR tcode and clicked the "BI Administrator Cockpit" no luck.

Facing the same error.

Error :

What is BI usage type??

RFC between BI ABAP and BI JAVA(BI Portal) successfully created long back and it is in running status.

Run the below URL and check whether BI usage type is installed on the portal system or not:

http://<server>:5<instance>00/utl/UsageTypesInfo (Case Sensitive)

Can one please confirm whether SSO BI ABAP and BI JAVA (BI portal) is needed?

I just connect BI ABAP and BI Java using RFC connection only there is no SSO between them.

Please confirm, if SSO needed, i can do that.
