hi people,

i'm trying to upgrde my Solman from sp16 to ehp1---(ABAP stack only).

i wet through all installation guides and everything..., fulfilled all prerequisites.

then i ran SAINT, which looked like it'd take forever, but it was still running...and suddeny, when everything seemed to be working out fine...after running for like 4 hours, everything just stopped.

now, whn i restart SAINT, it gives me following message:

The Add-on installation terminated during phase IMPORT_PROPER

Choose [CONTINUE] to continue the import

Choose [BACK] to delete the installation queue

Choose [LOGS] to display the import logs

nowcan i choose back and installation queue would be reversed?

anyways, i choose continue....and it gives me a runtime error:

Syntax error in program "SAPLTMSM ".

i'm really stuck. please help.

Regards,

Tejasav

Dear Sri,

choosing <continue> is giving me the same dump.

i guess i'll have to reset the installation queue by using <back>.

What's your take on this?

Hi Tejasav,

As the queue import is already in IMPORT_PROPER, reset will not be possible.

You might have to do a restore. Incase of non productive system, you could continue with import on OS level via the tp r3i command.

Hi,

for non production try to rerun last tp commands from

\usr\sap\trans\log\ULOG* file

like

tp R3I all <SID> pf=
<server>\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_.PFL -Dclientcascade=yes -Dstoponerror=8 -Drepeatonerror=8 -Dsourcesystems= -Dbuffreset=yes -Dmainimp_proc=1 -Dwatchparallelprocesses=yes -Dparallel=2 -Dstopimmediately=1 -DCTC=0 -Dcheckmasterlang=no tag=spam -Dtransdir=
\sapmnt\trans

good luck ...

cheers christoph

Retry by choosing continue and see if it moves forward. Also update SPAM & SAINT to latest patch first before doing this.
