SAP Printing Problem using Chinese as OS language

Former Member

Hi,

I am currently encountering a problem with SAP printing using a Front End printer.

The OS native language of the PC is Chinese.

Local Printer is HP3030.

SPAD configuration is as follows:

SAPWIN

G: FrontEnd printing with control technologie

__DEFAULT

We've tried printing out into a PDFWriter but output is still misaligned.

Any tips?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Eduardo

Hi,

if you need to print Chinese then then you should use device type CNSAPWIN or Unicode device type SWINCF.

Hi Aidan,

Thank you for the reply.

I do not need to print Chinese characters. I just highlighted that the OS native language is Chinese. I'm actually printing out Ledger in the English language.

I was just suspicious that the problem is coming from the OS language which causes the printing problem.

I've read in SAPNote 906031. But im not really sure if this one is relevant for my current setup. It talks about cascading font support for SAPWIN/Windows printing.

Do you think it is relevant for my setup?

Thanks,

Eduardo

Hi Eduardo,

Does it look correct in the print preview in SAP? Is this an ABAP list or a form like sapscript or smartform? If it is a form, then SAP note 183948 might be relevant. I am not sure if the OS language should affect this. Note 906031 only applies if yuo want to use a cascading fonts device type SWINCF.

Hi Aidan,

The print preview in SAP is ok.

The user is printing from FBL3N specifically which I think is an ABAP list.

Any other hints?

Thanks,

Eduardo
