How to Know PPE (Personal Protective Equip) before touching Chemical

Hi ,

This business is for Chemical company. Before having the chemical sample (SAP samping is NOT in place), we need to see the PPE or instrcutions for getting the sample process.

What functionality SAP provide as standard Sample processing to display all PPE for particular material?

If some one has used even workarounds for this, pl. suggest that.

Thanks.

Can Inspection method ( which is mainly used for "How Inspection is to be done") not used for this scenario--->like long text of Inspection method QS31 can be used for the instructions for getting the sample process.

In the material master under additional data you will find QM inspection text. This is a good place to put in information about the PPE data. This info is available for printing on COA's, sampling instructions and other forms. You could probably also use some customizations to add a check box or indicator to and inspection lot screen or results recording screen that would indicate that the material as special PPE requirements so they go review them. You could probably even add a button to link to them if you want.

Hi,

As suggested by Sujit,

1. Maintain required PPE in Long Text of Inspection Method.

2. Attach this Inspection Method in Inspection Plan

3. In Config>Maintain Inspection Type>Print Control>Set Print Insp Instructions immediately

As soon as Lot is created, this Inspection Instruction will be printed and Lot Status will be set to PRII PRSI.

This can be seen thru System>Own spool Requests
