Shipment Cost

They are two ways the forwarding agent charges the shipments:

Case I: Depending on the total weight of the shipment

0-500 LB: $X

500-1000LB: $Y

Case II: Depending on the total space occupied in the truck, which is transformed to number of pallets loaded

0-10 Pallets: $X

10-20 Pallets: $Y

Can some one please guide me through the step by step process to accomplish the scenarios mentioned above? Thanks in advance

Hi John,

You can set up a scaled pay rate based on the weights and pallets in the costing conditions.

You can go to TK11- create condition records and check whats the relevant condition type your business uses for these sort of payments. select the right access sequence in the next step and once you enter the data, you can click on the "scales" icon or press F2 which will take you to the scales screen - here you can enter the rates as per the breakdown of number of pallets or weights etc.
