Time Zone issue for global implementation.

Hi,

We are implementing DP and SNP in China, but the server is in US on CST time.

The issue is that the planner in china do not see the planning book rolling into the current day until 1 pm china time.

This is when the server rolls onto the new day in US at 00.00 hours. China is 13 hours early.

We have set the users in china on china time in SU01.

And also checked the local time zone in version 000 in transaction /SAPAPO/MVM.

Are we missing any config or Master Data?

Your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ashok Jain

Dear Ashok.

There are a lot of similar issues already in SDN concerning this issue.

Anyway...

Depending on your deployment of your SCM and ERP systems, the appropriate time zone should be customized in your system landscape. However, if you want to get the Backorder Processing result updated in the SAP ERP immediately, youu2019d better to set the two systems in the same time zones. You can get more details from the SAP note 443500.

Procedure

1. To maintain the business system group, use one of the following navigation options:

Transaction Code SPRO

SAP SCM IMG Menu --> General Settings ® Time Zones ® Maintain System Settings

2. Confirm the warning message.

3. On the Change View u201CCustomizing time zonesu201D : Details screen, check the following data:

System Time Zone - Using the same time zone that you used for your plant, e.g. UTC+8

Useru2019s Default Time Zone - Using the same time zone that you used for your plant, e.g. UTC+8

Time Zones Active - Mark this checkbox

4. Choose Save.

5. Choose Back.
