HI all,

I had one can we have a possiblity where the CEN and the system to be monitored be the same.We are getting an error as below.

ERROR: Monitoring segment belongs to central system DEV CCMS Agent SAPCCM4X may only be run for remote segments

that do not belong to central system DEV Therefore exiting....

You mean you want to monitor you CEN system?...

Thanks a ton for the reply.Hope you are doing good.We have a dual stack system.We want CCMS alerts to be configured for the system.The problem is that we dont have any CEN to connect to.So we thought why not use the same system as CEN and to be monitored system.Thanks.

Hi Ambarish,

Try SAPCCMSR for the ABAP+JAVA, that should work

In RZ21 what can you see under local agents?

As far as I know you shouldn't need an agent for local monitoring. But I'm trying to get more info on that. You can use CCMS alerts without CEN on a local system simply by maintaining Auto-reaction Method on the MTE's

This is for XI system and so the alerts would be valid for JAVA also?Juan how should manage alerts for a PI 7.0 system without the agents.Thanks.
