How to copy the existing component of WDABAP

Hi All,

I have a requirement like, there is a exisitng component in Webdynpro ABAP, the nameof component is Y_ADV_Search.

I want to have copy of the same above component with different component name which will be given while copying the existing component.

Please let me know how to do the changes while copying, do we need to change the names of existing views & windows also in th existing component , while copying the same component with different name??

nope, you can just copy the component and give new component name.That is enough.However it is good practice to have the window and view names prefixed with component name.
