Timephased safety stock (MB) in CTM

Hi,

I am using Timephased safety stock method (MB) in CTM. but safty stock receipt is planned double for late demand fulfillment. the scenario as follows.....

Timephased safty stock planned in weekly bucket

week ( 21/03/2011 - 27/03/2011 ) --- 10 qty ( so requirement date is week start 21/03/2011)

CTM run date - 23/03/2011

Late demand fulfillment: Standard Procedure

Expected result :

I am expecting safty stock qty 10 on current date

CTM result :

CTM craeted 2 purchase req on current date each having 10 qty. Late demand fulfillment: Standard Procedure is followed

step-1 ---> search happened on 20/03/2011

step-2----> CTM shifted the demand date by one day into the future ( 21/03/2011) and attempts to fulfill the demand

step-3 -

> system created 2 orders on current date ( 23/03/2011). it means CTM considering each demands of each search strategy and creating 2 orders on current date......

Why its creating 2 orders for the same qty.... is it std functionality?..

Each search strategy will be considred as demand?

how i can resolve this issue?

Hi,

Request you to enable the check box " Do not plan demands" and "Consider supply shortage" under supplies tab page.

Also enable the check box build up safety stock and with this setting try the CTM run.
