If it was working before then I guess there are some bugs in SP6, please raise OSS call (Very old note also explain same issue with hoplist: .747390).

You need to check RFC destination and SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration on CRM system to find out proxy configuration: read wiki for help: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/Step-by-stepFTPtoABAPProxy

But in my opinion this is bug and probably SAP will release corrections/.

I have already looked at this thread. No help.

Can anybody tell me where to find the proxy settings on SAP(CRM) and PI. My interest is especially focused on parameters/setting that have with conversion of the message from PI to CRM in the proxy communication.

*Note that the http error is thrown on CRM(receiver side).

If you search for OSS notes that contain the code "MSG_PROT_VERS_INVALID", you'll find one similar issue (except version is 000000) ... It may help you understand what's wrong (if you read the note, versioning or format does not seem to be the culprit) !
