Period Split

We are in SCM5.0 and we are using u2018Period Splitu201D functionality during release fcst to R3 and SNP. We got Monthly and Weekly views in DP and releasing the fcst from Weekly view. We wanted the data need to split equally among all the working days in a week on SNP side. But itu2019s placing all the weekly quantity on Monday. The system is doing the same in SNP and R3. When we release the fcst from Monthly buckets, the data on SNP side is wrong but itu2019s splitting all working days in week. Any help is appreciated.

Check the settings of period split field in period split profile. I think for your requirement , you have to set the period split value to blank. Do an F1 help on that field and you will find a detailed example explaining the concept

Rishi, can you elaborate little more. Is that field maintained in Product Master?

The same issue is discussed in Note 1377220. With this note, we were able to over came one problem. But, when we release the forecast its releasing the forecast in the past and showing up in initial column and causing unnecessary alerts. Anyinput is appreciated.

There is a period split factor in the SNP2 tab of Prod Master which controls how receipts are disaggregated into buckets during release to SNP.

Also just to be sure, can you also check if any period factor is maintained in the prod master(Lot size tab-> Qty and Date Determination sub tab ) the period factor determines the availability of the receipts within a specified period. (day of the week based on value ranging from 0 to 1)
