What is behind sapnote_0001534322 SRM_700_APF_APPR_BY_CREATOR?

Hi,

in SAP SRM 7.0 and process controlled WF it is not possible that the requester of a shopping cart can be a part of the further "Approval"-Workflow. The requester is not allowed to get workitems to approve his own shopping cart.

Now, can this behaviour beeing changed through the additional customizing switch SRM_700_APF_APPR_BY_CREATOR from SAP note 1534322?

In our situation we would need a possible approval by the requester in further process of the approval workflow. This is because things will change during the workflow in shopping cart and the requester should have to ability to give his final approve on it.

Solved by myself.

It works. The requester can approve his own shopping cart later on in the workflow.

Just insert SAP Note 1534322 and 1551561. It was tricky to know because the notes are not related to eachother.

could you please explain this is more we have a similar issue where we are trying to exclude the requester  so that incase he/ she should not be added as an adhoc approver or determined as an approver by the system, Please could you advise on this .
Currently for the customizing switch

SRM_700_APF_APPR_BY_CREATOR    Approval by Document Creator

We have it as deactivated .  So should we go ahead and activate this what could be the impact is it a reversible change incase it doesnt work ?
