Reg: Sales order availability check for a configurable material

Dear experts,

the scenario is w.r.t to SD Sales Order processing - Availability check,

During creation of a new sales order(present date) for a configurable material ( strategy group = 56-characteristics planning), the material u2018s availability check is done based on the Planned Independent Requirements, the requirement t type is KEKS - Order. + consumption . of characteristics. planning (as per std. SAP ECC 6.0)

But for the old / back-dated sales orders for which stock is now available (shows as sales order stock in T Code MMBE),

also the material u2018s availability check should be done , as it is the SAP std. Process to enable the Delivery processing (as delivery date is reqd from the s.o) .In this scenario, again the availability check is happening based on the Planned Independent Requirements,despite the sales order stock being available, not showing the present date , instead it does not show any date at all /shows the wrong available date,in the future.

Pls let me know of the solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sateesh,

on trying this t-code V_V2 , the system only displays the list of the sales orders with other details from which

we can go into the sales orders also. But further processing w.r.t getting the present material availability

date does not happen.So please let me know how to go-head in this case.

IMG -> Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Availability check and transfer of requirements -> Availability check -> Carry out control for availability check.

After that do this, Availability check : 02

checking rule : backorder processing and do the configurations and save.Please check this.
