Database Monitoring

Hi all,

we want to use our solution manager ( 7.0, EHP1 ) for database monitoring.

But in transaction dbacockpit in solution manager there is only the solution manager

db ( oracle ), but we want to connect several DB2 on Z/OS databases ...but we are not

able establish new connections to our db2 on Z/OS databases.

Is an "how to guide..." available, how to configure and connect to db2 z/OS databases for

monitoring in solution manager ?

Kind regards

Andreas

Hi,

You can give try at BPM with application monitors for remote DB Monitoring.

Follow [this guide|https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700000780862010E/SetupGuide_BPMon_nonABAP.pdf] from page 14 to 40.

This should solve your problem.

Feel free to revert back.

Hi,

As far I understand, your solman is on oracle and you want to monitor DB2 from dbacockpit of solman.

For this, you need to install db2 client on solman machine.

Also, other db2 system that you want to monitor is database of SAP instance or not ? If db2 are database of SAP instance, then better you monitor your database from CCMS instead of adding them in dbacockpit. Configure Central CCMS monitoring on your solman system and then you can monitor those system from CCMS.

Thanks
