Dear Expert,

My existing coding mask is E/00000:XXXXXXXXXXXXX, now I want to add one more 0 to the numeric part.while changing its showing error.Kindly suggest.

Hi,

As per SAP define on Message,

You can only change existing masks as follows:

1) You can change a numeric section to an alpahmumeric section of the same length.

2) You can extend the coding mask with an alphanumeric section

My requirement is very strict change in numeric part only .

Diagnosis

You want to change an existing coding mask, or want to create a new mask and have chosen a key for which a coding mask already exits.

You can only change existing masks as follows:

You can change a numeric section to an alpahmumeric section of the same length.

You can extend the coding mask with an alphanumeric section.

System Response

The function was not executed.

Procedure

Change the coding mask as described above or create a new coding mask with a key that does not yet exist.

I don't think you would be able to change the coding mask according to your strict requirement. Lets wait for others to comment on this.
