Hi folks,
I am new to SD, I am quite ok with the Sales Order processing and billing processing. However, I don't know anything abt the Product Hierarchy.
Appreciate if anyone of you can give me a good site/blog/documentation to kickstart my learning in product hierarchy in short period of time.
Point will be rewarded for the useful tips!
Thanks so much
Product Hierarchy is used to breakdown the product into subsequent categories.
Example - Take any fast moving consumer product. The finished product we buy comes in different shapes, sizes, contents, schemes, colors, SKU's etc. In the language of Product Hierarchy we can say,
Banner, Brand, Product, Size, Color, SKU, as levels of Product Hierarchy. Using this model, we can analyze sales at different levels, devise pricing strategies for each level and also analyze reports at each level.

v/76 is to configure the product hierarchy, and you will need to create first level, it enables you to create maximum seven level as my previous company uses seven level, hope it helps.
