How to create .unx file for extended universe?

Hi All,

I tried creating .unx file for extending universe. But its not same as .unv file.Many objects are misplaced and many of the objects are missing.It seems all Detailed object are failed to transfer to .unx format. Further analysis with core universe is creating fine.

Please let me know is there any way to create .unx file for Extended universe.

Hi,

Are you using Business Objects 4.0 ? You can use Upgrade Management Tool 4.0. If it won't work well, you can follow the procedure as below.

The .unx file get created in BO 4.0 using Information Design Tool.

If you have access to IDT, import the existing universe in .unv file from repository.

Once you import the universe .unv file, right cick on it and then convert to .unx file.
