IS retail - Close of Store process

Former Member

Hi

Hope someone has a good process for the procedures that need to be followed when you want to close an existing Store. The closing date in WB02 is one of the tasks, but there are listing conditions and so on.

If we want a clean system without non-valid entries to reside in the system we need to get rid of entries in the different tables (MARC-WLK1......) also so that the closed site does not appear when using MASS change for sites.

Could anyone pls advise what the best procedure is?

Thanks and regards

I guess even SAP has not yet come up with best practice for Retail Store Closure. I can think of the following that can be done:

1. No articles at the store should have non zero stock

2. No open PRs/POs/STOs or any other form of purchasing documents should exist

3. Listing conditions should not be active

4. Delivery Relationship with supplying site(s), if any should be discontinued

5. Remove the Customer no of the store from all General Assortments being used, if any

6. Delete Listing conditions

.

.

.

.

In all, if you first archive the store using T-code WB06 & subsequently try to delete the store using t-code SARA

with archiving object WS_ACSITE (Retail: Site Master Record)

During creation of archive file for deletion of the store, create a variant with site no to be deleted in "Test Mode".

It will trigger a background job, in the job log, if you find that archivable and deletable object: 1, the store can be successfully deleted. Else you should see the problem areas (preventing store deletion) in the log as well.

Hope this helps.
