Please go through this useful document: [Migrating Local Web Dynpro Projects to the NWDI (7.00)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/c8204dd57f136fe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm]

Hope this helps.

Hi Alain Corsius,

Thanks for your quick response, The provided suggestion is good enough for few DC's in my case i have arround 100 DC's are there available in different NWDI server in different track its its little difficult for me to migrate this way one by one.

What I wish is there any way to migrate whole track at once or to export all the DC's as SCA at once and import it in to the track.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Jeetendra,

I didn't realise you had so many DC's in several SCA's and tracks.

But in every tab of your CMS track you can export SCA's: there is a button on top saying "Export SCA...". It will be exported in a directory of your server.

Copy this SCA in your CMS inbox directory, make sure your track is configured with the correct name of developed SCA (in the Landscape configurator of your CMS) and you will see your SCA in the check-in tab of your track.

Check it in, import it in the development tab and you will be able to continue developing your 100 DC's.

Hope this helps a little more.

Regards,

Alain.

Hi Alain,

I created the same track with all same input, and i exported the DC's from track as suggested by you (from both place NWDS and from CMS) and uploaded to the inbox folder which can be seen in the checkin tab i checked in it and i am not able to import it. It says import failed and i can see the details as follows

 Logs
Repository-check	Check failed	View Log File
Repository-import	Import failed	View Log File
CBS-make	Not executed	View Log File
SDM-deployment-notification	Not executed	View Log File

and in the view log i can see following log

Hi Jeetendra,

From the error messages it seems like there are no sources included in your SCA.

Did you export the SCA correctly?

Make also sure in the "old" track, where you exported the SCA, the developed sofware component has package type "Source and Archive" (use the CMS landscape configurator for this).

If you exported the SCA from the old track AFTER the assembly phase, make sure the assembly was done with the option "Include Modifiable Sources into Archive" set.

(Check this first before we do more investigations.)

Hope this helps.

Alain.

Hi Alain,

Did you export the SCA correctly?

-Yes I did.

Make also sure in the "old" track, where you exported the SCA, the developed sofware component has package type "Source and Archive" (use the CMS landscape configurator for this).

-Checked and I confirm that this is fine/

If you exported the SCA from the old track AFTER the assembly phase, make sure the assembly was done with the option "Include Modifiable Sources into Archive" set.

-No The track is not exported after assembly phase.

Thanks & Regards

Hi again Jeetendra,

Then I do not understand it.

I tried it myself with exporting a SCA from the approval tab in the CMS Transport Studio and I was able to download my SCA as a zipped file with 3 directories in it: BUILDARCHIVES, META-INF and SOURCEARCHIVES.

Check your own SCA (open it with WinZIP) and check for those directories. If they are not present, try exporting the SCA again from your old track, but then from the approval tab.

Make also sure, your dependent Software Components (like there are SAP-JEE, SAP_BUILDT, SAP_JTECHS, etc.) are listed correctly in the new track (see your CMS Landscape Directory for this).

Hope this helps (also again )

Regards,

Alain.
