Preview NW7.02: Error "Exception condition "WRITE_FAILED"" in Phase 24

Hi,

I get the following error in Phase 24 ("Analyzing the log files.." after executing Report RADDBDIF) during installation of SAP NW Preview 7.02 SP6 on Windows 7 32 Bit:

"An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Unable to call function. Error message: Exception condition "WRITE_FAILED" raised. .)"

If I logon to the SAP Preview system and execute AL11, I see that the directories DIR_TRANS, DIR_TRFILES and DIR_TRSUB are set to "
ifbweb3\sapmnt\trans" but my localhost name isn't "ifbweb3". How can I change this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

You may want to check the following profile parameters, if they have the correct value.

SAPLOCALHOSTFULL

SAPTRANSHOST

Thanks for the hint.

I edit the file "NSP_DVEBMGS00_<name of localhost>" located in 'usr\sap\NSP\SYS\profile' and add the following two lines:

SAPLOCALHOSTFULL = <name of localhost>

SAPTRANSHOST = <name of localhost>

Then I restart the server via the SAP Management console (sapmmc) and restart the installation and it finished successfully.
