Alert Configuration

Hi,

I am trying to send emails via Alert Framework in XI server 7.0 SP2.

I am in transaction alrtcatdef, Is there a way where we can specify forwarding of mails using SMTP

When I go in ALRTCATDEF-->Configuration

am not able to select "SMTP Forwarding as XML", as the option is disabled... Any ideas as to what could be the problem
