DbSl/DB codepage error on ASCII system

Good Day Forum,

I require assistance please.

After a system copy on an ASCII system the work processes are ending and the following error is found in the logs.

• ERROR => DbSl/DB codepage check: unable to determine DB codepage type;

Directly after the copy I managed to start the system with no problem however once I did the post SAP tasks the above errors are appearing.

Any assistance would be greatly appreaciate.

Good day Siva,

Thank-you for your assistance however I did compate the codepage values on the SAP site as well as the notes other sites.

I have checked all the relevant tables and followed the Easy Homogenous copy procedure but still receive the error. I know the codepage is 1100 by checking table TCPDB and I have checked WRKENVVAR and compared the values to my production system.

I need to understand what is being checked when the work processes are starting.

Hi Anette,

did you check SAP Note 530392? If you did, and that did not solve the problem, it may help if you post 10 to 20 entries from the developer trace before and after the message "*** ERROR => DbSl/DB codepage check: unable to determine DB codepage type" here.
