GPLQTY is R/3 hostname or BI?

You need hostname is accessible at both side.

I suggest using the DNS name instead of IP address or hostname. Hostnames in RFC connections could lead to errors due to local changes.

Try a ping to the DNS name from ST06 before, just to check that connectivity is OK.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

Try to ping with hostname of BI from R/3 system and vice-versa. Check if it works if not then it means still hostname entries are not maintained in host file correctly or there is problem in communication between both systems.

Thanks

Hi,

Please be more descriptive:

ERROR: hostname 'GPLQTY' unknown

Shows that the target hostname is not known at all. Define the hostname IP in the hosts file or try the IP directly.
