HU Number Range

Can some one please let me know If there is a possibility to generate different HU numbers for same material if shipped from different plants

Example: If material A shipped from plant A can generate the number range from 100000-1999999 and shipped from plant B can generate a different number range 200000-2999999.

Hi John,

Number range set up on packing material configuration so controlling it on plant or material thru' standard way is not possible. You can use two different packaging material with below two number ranges thru' user exit "BADI_HU_ALWD_PM". In this you can determine the plant from the preceding document and set if plant A is in posting document..use packaging material having one number range and for plant B use other packaging material. You can use custom table to maintain for which plant system should pick specific packaging material.
