BR*TOOLS is for Oracle only, not for SQL Server.

1. Get familiar with SQL Sever Backup and Restore by reading the online books that come with your installation and also http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/d1/2171487d3a11d288ec0000e8200722/frameset.htm

2. Be aware that only a database backup is not enough to restore your system in case of a failure. SolMan is an ABAP + Java instance so you need to backup the filesystem of the Java instance too.

Hi,

Firstly, you should get many other options while you check in DB13.

Whole Database Online and Offline backup option should be there in Action Pad.

Let us know which SAP version and system. Is it ECC, or BI etc. ?

Secondly, regarding BRTOOLS, you need to check if environment variables are properly set.

You need to set the path of kernel as below:

you need to add "<Drive>:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\run" and your PATH:

right-click on "My computer" > choose Properties > click Advanced > Environment variables

add a semi-colon ( ; ) and the path, save, logout, and then login again.

If this does not work, please let us know detail error on BRTOOLS.

Sujit.
